Hey folks, a reminder Cymera: Scotland's Festival of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Writing is coming up (this weekend 5-7th June) and I have been hard at work helping curate the games strand!

There are lots of games being run/games adjacent events (a writing for video games workshop with Thomas Welsh, city building workshop with Elaine Lithgow, Dune the Musical and more!!!) - many of these offer free or low priced tickets and as always you can message me if price a barrier.

I am running a couple of games:

Blasphemers in the Borderlands (working title) a Chaosium Call of Cthulhu medieval horror scenario created in conjunction with the History and Games Lab at Edinburgh University in particular Gianluca Raccagni & Eline Scheerlinck (oh and we also have a very exciting CoC Actual Play featuring some of our guest authours!)

I'm also running the latest in my folkloric, ritual, seasonal year in Scotland series that I am testing using the marvellous Liminal ruleset.I am up to April and it is time to 'Hunt the Gowk... - if you fancy an urban fantasy/folk horror steeple chase around an Edinburgh with more than meets the eye then you are in luck!

Come and play some games/attend some workshops/discover a safe and supportive space and an amazing genre themed Festival in the heart of Edinburgh!

Please also help spread the word about the Festival/ the Games strand of the Festival on socials/word of mouth/post on any Discords you are on etc that would be really appreciated - grassroots support and participants signal boosting really helps the visibility of our Festival and Games events.
